DJ EZ Lou
Pittsburghers have enjoyed so many good times over the years thanks to the fact that Lou likes to stay up late! We're honored to have him back this month at the Flea. Dance while you shop Sunday thanks to our friend DJ EZ Lou who will be spinning tunes from funk to 80s.
You can find him Tuesday nights at Kelly's Bar & Lounge in East Liberty! On Thursday's he spins Darkwave at Gus's in Lawrenceville. Gus's Cafe is located at 4717 Butler Street near the Allegheny Cemetery.
Lou! Tell us about your neighborhood. What do we NEED to know?
I live in Regent Sq. and the best part is walking to the Square for Dining Drinks. And very close to the Parkway in or out of the city.
How did you get your start as a DJ because we're so glad you did!
I started spinning in 1978 and I accepted a New Years Eve gig with one Turntable and a Cassette deck. Hard to remember a single event, but the Upstage was my Favorite gig from 1987 to 1989 and back again from 1995 to 2006 (short break for the Beehive Oakland from Oct 1999 to Feb 2001).
What songs can you hear over and over again without getting tired of?
My all time favorite songs are 1st Blue Monday - New Order, 2nd "So What" by Miles Davis and 3rd Rolling Stones, Can't You Hear Me Knocking.
Thanks so much Lou! We'll see you soon!
