Neighborhood Flea <3s D.I.Y!

We can’t wait for our third flea coming up this Sunday the 28th! It is sure to be spectacular and we can’t wait for the beautiful weather this weekend.

Sometimes you just can’t wait the month in between Fleas to get that upcycled fix so we wanted to share a couple really cool and simple D.I.Y. projects!

What You Will Need:

-Glass Jars (as many as you want – go crazy)

-A hot glue gun

-Glue gun sticks

-Acrylic paint

-Paint brush

How To:

1.       Pick out your acrylic paint colors and jars.

2.       Decide what you want to put on the side! (I <3 the Neighborhood Flea? ;-)

3.       Hot glue your design on the jar (or bottle) (be careful please!)

4.       Wait for glue to dry.

5.       Paint over your design!

6.       Let dry.

7.       ENJOY!

Suitcase Side Table

What You Will Need:

1.       An old (or new) suitcase

2.       Four old (or new) table/bed/anything legs!

3.       8 Flat washers + 4 Wing nuts

4.       Power drill

5.       Paint + Paint brush

6.       Measuring tool (yard stick, measuring tape, etc.)

How To:

1.       Measure out where you want to position the table legs and mark it on the surface of the suitcase.

2.       Use a power drill to create holes at the points that you marked.

3.       Paint the four table legs any color you want and give them time to dry before attaching. (Note: You can also paint them afterwards, but the table legs might be easier to handle while they're still unattached).

4.       Place one flat washer onto each table leg.

5.        Affix the table legs onto the suitcase by twisting them into the holes you drilled.

6.       Place one flat washer over each hole inside of the suitcase.

7.       Screw a wing nut over the top to secure each table leg.

8.       Enjoy and love and decorate!
