Terrarium Workshop with Shadyside Nursery at the June Flea

Create your own Terrarium with Natasha from Shadyside Nursery on Sunday, June 14th at 2 pm. The Flea is located at 2300 Penn Avenue across from Marty's Market.

You will be provided with step by step instruction and all materials necessary.

Materials : 1 gallon glass jar with lid, instruction, organic soil, 2 terrariums plants, activated carbon, pea gravel, and care card.

The workshop will include:
Building your own terrarium, choosing the appropriate plants for your terrarium (up to 2 terrarium plants included in the workshop cost), ideas for accessorizing you terrarium, information on properly caring for your terrarium (both closed and open containers), and identifying terrarium damage. 

Below is a list of some different places you can find some supplies to accessorize your terrarium and make it unique. (However, it is not necessary to bring anything but yourself)

For crystals and geodes- Science center/Natural History Museum gift shop
Michaels/JoAnns/Pat Catans- craft stores are a good place to find various terrarium objects.
Creative ReUse is a good place for supplies. (Make sure to check out their old school library cataloguing shelf for funky little plastic animals and things.)
